Step 4: DVC Rules

A DVC (Data Validation Center) Rule set can be applied to a file importing via STP (Relius Straight Through Processing). In the event of a critical error, the file will not process. While there are many Relius-provided and custom rules that can be applied, you will want to think through your process to determine the rules to apply and the severity.

Note - Creating a new rule set is not required, but this is a basic recommendation. You can apply an existing rule set if you have one. It is not required to have a Finch File Rule Set. You can use any name for the rule set. Your business may have different requirements and this list may not be applicable.

Other Rules for consideration:

• Blank address

• Blank Name

• Deferral amount greater than match

• Set the Actual Loan payroll frequency to the payroll frequency.
