Before you start

To connect your Paychex Flex account, you must create an API token. Please ensure you are a Paychex Flex administrator with the ability to access Company Settings > Integrated Apps.

Instructions

Step 1: Create an API token

1. Log into Paychex Flex
2. Open the lefthand menu and select Company Settings
3. Click on Integrated Apps > Create App
4. Name the application (i.e.: API Key) 
5. In the Access settings section, toggle Company and worker APIs
6. Select Read only (GET)
7. Agree to the Terms of Use
8. Click Save

Step 2: Connect your Paychex Flex account

1. Navigate back to the Finch Connect modal 
2. Paste the API key into the Client ID field 
3. Paste the API secret into the Client Secret field
