When using Finch, you may be prompted to provide your login credentials to your HRIS or payroll system, and, upon successful authentication, your system will then return your data to Finch. When this happens, there are 3 possible ways that Finch will use the credentials to establish and maintain a connection.
1. When you link an HRIS or payroll system via Finch, you provide your login credentials to Finch. Finch does not access or store your account credentials. Instead, your HRIS or payroll system provides Finch with a type of security identifier, which permits Finch to securely reconnect to your HRIS or payroll system at regularly scheduled intervals to keep your apps and services up-to-date.
2. When you link an HRIS or payroll system via Finch, you provide your login credentials to Finch. Finch temporarily uses your credentials to set up a 3rd party administrator in your HRIS or payroll system automatically. Finch can then leverage this new 3rd party administrator account to collect the data to power the services you’ve chosen and, when requested, securely share it with the app you’re using and establish a secure connection.
3. When you link an HRIS or payroll system via Finch, you provide your login credentials to Finch. Finch stores those credentials and uses them to collect the data to power the services you’ve chosen and, when requested, securely share it with the app you’re using and establish a secure connection. In these cases, Finch keeps your data safe and private with best-in-class encryption protocols.
Regardless of which type of connection is made, Finch will never share your credentials with the apps or services you’ve connected to your HRIS or payroll system via Finch.
