Note: Paylocity charges for API key usage. Please read our Provider Fees article here for more information.
To connect your Paylocity account to this application you will need to request your API keys. Please follow the instructions below.
Instructions
Step 1: Complete the Paylocity Web Services Access Request Form
You will need a Paylocity-authorized contact to fill out this form. The form you download and complete will depend on whether you require payroll data. Regardless of the form you choose, you will need to provide the following information:
- Fill in the Client Contact Information. You can leave the development contact fields blank.
- Fill in Who Gets the Credentials with the email you wish the credentials to be sent to.
- Fill in Automated Email Notifications > Automated API Renewal Email. This email will receive a renewal notice when the API keys are set to expire.
- Under Briefly Describe the Use Cases for this API/Webhook Access, fill in as follows:
“Data Integration to [application] supported via Finch” - Leave the Webhook Push Notifications section blank.
If your team uses this application to sync Organization data only
- If you do not need Payroll data, download and complete this pre-filled form.
If your team uses this application to sync Organization and Payroll data
- If you do need Payroll data, download and complete this pre-filled form.
Step 2: Email the completed form to webservices@paylocity.com
- Subject line: API Access
- Body: Hi Paylocity team, I am requesting access to a Client ID and Client Secret for API access. Please see the attached form below.
Step 3: Link your Paylocity account
Once Paylocity provides you with the requested Client ID and Client Secret,
- Navigate back to the Finch Connect screen
- Enter the Company ID found on the homepage of your Paylocity account
- Enter the Client ID and Client Secret provided from Paylocity
